Stewart, Director of the Mount Sinai Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism Institute. \u201cA simple pill, perhaps together with a GLP-1RA like semaglutide, is affordable and scalable to the millions of people with diabetes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Stewart and his colleague Dr. Peng Wang, Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai, were among the original researchers who screened thousands of drugs to identify harmine\u2019s potential in 2015.
