How To Make The Best Baked Oatmeal You’ll Ever Taste (From My Former Celebrity Chef Podcast Guest)

When I interviewed Michael Chernow – former celebrity chef, restaurateur, and founder of Kreatures of Habit  – he described to me how he invented something called MealOne based on his own desire for a done-for-you packet-based overnight-ish oatmeal that was incredibly satisfying and tasty and gave a complete breakfast at about 340 calories.

It’s an “overnight oatmeal” packet totally done-for-you and crafted with premium ingredients to give your body exactly what it needs to optimize daily performance, including glyphosate and gluten-free oats, 30g plant-based protein, probiotics, omega-3 fatty acids, and a host of other superfood ingredients.

So I figured, what the heck? Why not try my Sunday morning brunch-baked oatmeal with this stuff?

For this recipe, I used Maple and Apple Cinnamon flavors of Michael’s Kreatures Of Habit MealOne oatmeal. It turned out fantastic, especially topped with a dollop of yogurt, maple syrup, and a touch of nut butter.

You gotta try this…it’s super simple:

-Stir together in a mixing bowl 2 tablespoons yogurt, 2 packets MealOne, 2 teaspoons baking powder, a dash of cinnamon, a dash of salt, a handful of raisins, 2 eggs, a touch of sweetener if desired (e.g. monkfruitmaple syruphoney, etc.) and finally, coconutalmond or regular milk to a thick, gooey ‘pancake-batter’ ish texture.

-Grease a baking pan or cake pan with avocado oil or butter, then pour the batter into it and smooth out with a spatula.

-Bake for 30-40 minutes at 350°F, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Remove, serve, and enjoy a high-protein, healthy baked oatmeal that’ll make you and your family super satisfied and happy.
